The audition for The Night of the Iguana by Tennessee Williams, directed by Dick Bower will be held on Wednesday 19th June 2024 at 8.00pm at St Mary’s Church Centre, Church Road, Wallington SM6 7NJ.

The play will be performed at The Adrian Mann Theatre, Ewell from 17th to 23rd November 2024.

This is a classic piece of theatre by acclaimed American playwright, Tennessee Williams, that exposes the “heart of the human condition”. Originally performed in 1961 on Broadway with a cast that included Bette Davis, it won Tennessee Williams his fourth New York Drama Critics Award and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Play. It was then turned into an Oscar-winning film in 1964, starring Richard Burton, Ava Gardner and Deborah Kerr.

Rehearsals will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8pm sharp at St Mary’s, beginning Tuesday 3rd September 2024, with some Sunday afternoon rehearsals in October and November.

During show week, there will be rehearsals on Sunday 17th (time to be decided), Monday 18th (Tech from 7pm) and Tuesday 19th (Dress at 7:45pm), all at the Adrian Mann Theatre. Performances Wednesday to Friday at 7:45pm and Saturday at 4pm.
