Our next acting workshop will be on Wednesday 15th October 2025 and will be a read through of the play chosen by our director for our March 2026 production, David Page. The play David has chosen is the Olivier Award winning Single Spies by Alan Bennett and is an intriguing double bill of plays, each play being about two of the most notorious spies in British history – Guy Burgess and Antony Blunt.
David is one of our most experienced directors and last directed for SADC the very successful production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Whether you are an experienced SADC member or a potential new member, keen to find out what it’s all about, join David for this excellent opportunity for anyone interested in auditioning for the play. The workshop will enable you to become familiar with potential roles and how David intends to direct the play. There are good roles for both male and female actors, including an opportunity to play Queen Elizabeth II!
We look forward to seeing you there.
Please note that these evenings are free to members with an up to date membership or to anyone over 18 years old wishing to try a Let’s Act! workshop event for the first time. A charge of £3 will be made for all other attendees.
Let’s Act! workshops are held in the Rehearsal Room at The CryerArts Centre, 39 High Street, Carshalton SM5 3BB from 8.00pm to 10.00pm.
