Preparations for our March 2026 production of Alan Bennett’s play, Single Spies, are now well under way. Auditions have been held, the set has been designed and the actors are studying their lines ready for rehearsals to start in January. This Oliver Award winning play, which is to be directed by David Page, will be performed at the CryerArts Centre from Tuesday 10th March 2026 to Friday 13th March 2025.

David is one of our most experienced directors and last directed our very successful production of The Importance of Being Earnest in 2022.

The play, which is in fact a double bill of one act plays, An Englishman Abroad and A Question of Attribution, was originally performed at The National Theatre and received great acclaim. Since then it has been revived more recently at both Chichester Festival Theatre and the Rose Theatre in Kingston. This intriguing double bill of plays is about two of the most notorious spies in British history – Guy Burgess and Antony Blunt.

Tickets will be on sale in the new year.

We look forward to seeing you there.
