19th to 22nd November 2025
at the Adrian Mann Theatre, Ewell, KT17 3DR
To be directed by Peter Bramwell

This play is a rather different take on the life of Anne Boleyn, the most notorious of Henry VIII’s wives.
Anne narrates the play as her ghost, but the present she is haunting is the early part of James I’s reign as, fresh from Scotland where they do things very differently, he discovers more about those who came before him – Elizabeth I and, in particular, her mother Anne Boleyn.
The play then tells the story of how Anne pursued the most dangerous man in the kingdom, and the most dangerous ideas of her day.
This production includes material of an adult nature.

Our March 2026 production will be the Olivier Award winning play Single Spies by Alan Bennett and will be directed by David Page.
The play, which originally received great acclaim when performed at The National Theatre, will be performed at the CryerArts Centre from Tuesday 10th March 2026 to Friday 13th March 2025.
David is one of our most experienced directors and last directed for SADC the very successful production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Single Spies is an intriguing double bill of plays , each play being about two of the most notorious spies in British history – Guy Burgess and Antony Blunt.
The first play, known as An Englishman Abroad is based on the true story of a meeting in Moscow between noted English actress Coral Browne and notorious spy Guy Burgess, and is a touching portrait of a lonely man, torn between his Marxist principals and his ironic longing for contact with the upper class in Britain from whom he sprung. The second play, A Question of Attribution, is about Anthony Blunt, the Surveyor of the Queen’s Pictures, at the point when he is coming under suspicion and is being quizzed by MI5 about his association with Guy Burgess, whom he had met at Cambridge. How many others were implicated and how much does the Queen know?
For those who wish to audition there will be an opportunity to read the plays through with David at the Let’s Act! workshop on 15th October 2025 at 8.00pm in the Rehearsal Room at the CryerArts Centre, Carshalton. The auditions will be held shortly afterwards.
A date for auditions will be announced shortly.

Our June 2026 play will be Honour by Joanna Murray Smith and will be directed by Sheila Carr.
This is a powerful play about infidelity seen from the perspective of the three women involved: the wife, the lover and the daughter.
George and Honor have been happily married for thirty-two years. She is a successful writer, he is a revered columnist.
They have a perfect understanding of each other. Until a pushy young female journalist – on an assignment to ‘profile’ George – quite deliberately seeks to undermine that understanding.
What are the journalist’s intensions? What will the effect be on Honor and her daughter?
For those who wish to audition there will be an opportunity to read the plays through with Sheila at the Let’s Act! workshop on 11th February 2026 at 8.00pm in the Rehearsal Room at the CryerArts Centre, Carshalton. The auditions will be held shortly afterwards.
