We perform three plays each year to the public. Two of those productions, in March and November, are at the Adrian Mann Theatre in Ewell, Surrey, which is a full proscenium arch theatre on the NESCOT campus with excellent facilities, close to Ewell East railway station and with easy free parking.

Our third production in June, is usually in Carshalton and past venues have included The CryerArts Centre and St Mary’s Church, Beddington.

SADC Productions are directed by members who have volunteered to take on the role.

Our casts are selected by the directors through open auditions, which are open to members and non-members alike, and confirmed by the SADC Main Committee. All selected actors need to be (or become) full members of the club and pay a show subscription which covers the cost of the script, rehearsal room and costume. Se our Join us page for current details of membership and show subscription costs.

Rehearsals take place at the church hall attached to St Mary’s Church, Beddington. Rehearsals are on two mid-week evenings until 3 weeks before the public performances, at which point a long rehearsal on each Sunday afternoon is added to the rehearsal schedule.

After approximately 10 weeks of rehearsals the play is performed for a full week at the selected theatre. Monday night is the Technical Rehearsal, Tuesday night is the Dress Rehearsal and the first performance to the public is on the Wednesday night. After the final performance on Saturday night, everyone helps to take the set down and clear the theatre and there is then usually a celebration for everyone involved.
