March Let’s Act!

posted in: Info | 0

Our next acting workshop, which is to be held on Wednesday 26th March 2025 from 8.00pm to 10.00pm in the Rehearsal Room at the CryerArts Centre in Carshalton, is to be led by Michael Saunderson.

Michael is an active member of SADC and has spent a long time learning not only how to not bump into the furniture, but also how to make it up as he goes along. A lifelong fan of improvised theatre, he’s picked up endless tips and tricks over years from many workshops with Keith Johnstone, Sylvia Denning, Tom Salinsky and others. He’s played roles in several recent SADC productions including The Unexpected Guest, Alys Always and most recently Carshalton At War.

For this month’s workshop, we’ll be focussing on stage awareness and holding the audiences attention.

A lot of amateur actors get so worried about not doing enough that they end up doing either too much or too little. So for this workshop we’ll be looking at awareness on stage and keeping all the audience engaged. As ever, no experience is necessary, so do come along and enjoy some fun and games!

Whether you are an experienced SADC member or a potential new member, keen to find out what it’s all about, join us for Let’s Act! There is no doubt that those attending will have a lot of fun exploring the art of drama.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Please note that these evenings are free to members with an up to date membership or to anyone over 18 years old wishing to try a Let’s Act! workshop event for the first time. A charge of £3 will be made for all other attendees.

Future dates for your diary are:

23rd April 2025 to be led by Dave Thompson
21st May 2025 to be led by Ella McDonnell
18th June 2025 to be led by Michael Saunderson
