Our new season of Let’s Act! acting workshops has been announced and the September workshop will be led by our very experienced director, and leader of many past workshops, Dave Thompson. Dave’s workshop will be at 8.00pm on Wednesday 16th September 2026 and will be on the subject of “Making it Real”.
This session will focus on emotional realism. Using improvisation and scripted work to look at tackling emotional moments on stage. Real life moments of high tension and stress such as news of bereavement, breaking ups, as well as positive opposites, good news after a hospital stay or the beginning of an affair. From Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams and Chekov, we are all here for the drama, so come and stretch your skills.
Whether you are an experienced SADC member or a potential new member, keen to find out what it’s all about, join us for some acting practice, performing some of the best drama to have appeared on British stages. Don’t miss this enjoyable evening.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Please note that these evenings are free to members with an up to date membership or to anyone over 18 years old wishing to try a Let’s Act! workshop event for the first time. A charge of £3 will be made for all other attendees.
